Malindi town is about 120 km north of Mombasa. Malindi Bay has the longest Kenya beach, measuring about 7 km, ideal for a jog or walk. Malindi is a diver’s haven as well as best for surfing and game fishing. The Malindi Marine National Park (covering 213 km) has the best coral reefs that march those of the Great Barrier Reef and the Red Sea.

Besides the beach, one may visit Malindi’s old town that offer ancient ruins, gorges and bustling markets. Moreover, due to a high population of Italian inhabitants, there are numerous varieties of Italian foods (pasta, spaghetti, pizza) as well as delicious sea foods offered by many restaurants dotted all over town. You may want to visit the Vasco da Gama Pillar, the Malindi Crocodile Farm & Snake Park, the Malindi Museum, the Portuguese Church, Malindi Handicrafts Cooperative Center (a good place to buy high quality handicrafts/woodcarvings at reasonable prices) or visit the Tsavo National Park via the Sala Gate
