TRAVEL INSURANCE : You are strongly advised to have a personal travel insurance cover before embarking on a journey anywhere, safari included. This cover may take care of an evacuation in the unlikely event of a medical emergency in far flung locations such as in animal parks. However, Touch Kenya Safaris covers all indemnity in the precincts of our vehicles although this may not be entirely adequate.
LIABILITY : All bookings are honored on condition that Touch Kenya Safaris and/or its agents act only as facilitators of a client in all matters relating to hotel, lodge and camp accommodations, tours, transport etc and shall not be liable for any delay, injury, loss or damage. Touch Kenya Safaris reserves the right to engage subcontractors to carry out all (or part) of the services priory agreed upon. The respective laws of the country govern Touch Kenya Safaris liability to passengers carried in its vehicles and all claims thereof are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the country in which the cause of action arises. Whilst every care is taken, Touch Kenya Safaris shall not be held responsible for loss or damage to any personal belongings.
VIEWING ANIMALS : Please be advised that all wild animals are potentially dangerous. Please do not disembark from the vehicle in non-designated areas and unless advised to do so by our staff. When it comes to game viewing, please understand that there are no guarantees. It is a privilege to see an animal in its natural habitat and bear in mind that animals are continuously moving to fulfill their ecological needs.
TRANSPORT : The mode of transport that is utilized will depend on the number of clients and the route taken based on the specifications of the chosen itinerary. A fully trained as well as an experienced English speaking driver/guide is provided. With prior arrangement, a clients-language speaking guide may be provided.
ALTERATION/TRANSFER OF TOUR : Touch Kenya Safaris reserves the right to alter any route or arrangement or to cancel the operation of any scheduled tour should conditions demand. The right is also reserved to accept, retain or decline any member of a tour group at anytime. Should a client fail to join a tour, join after departure or leave prior to completion, no refund may be made. In the event a client is unable to travel due to extraordinary circumstances, we may transfer his/her booking to another party provided the arrangements remain the same and if other parties (Airlines, Hotels etc) are all ready to accept the transfer.
ACCOMMODATION : We book clients based on their instructions/wishes either in hotels, lodges or tented camps. Should we fail to secure such a wish, we inform the client and wait for further instructions. We may at the same time offer advice, considering the prevailing conditions or circumstances.
CANCELLATIONS : Full refund will be provided if cancellation occurs in writing 65 days prior to commencement of a safari and this refund will be based on cancellation fee(s) levied by the hotel/lodge/camp. In general, there is a 25% charge on cancellation within 40 days, 50% within 30 days and 100% within 20 days. Touch Kenya Safaris reserves the right to deduct all expenses incurred from this pre-paid money. Some services are non-refundable and cancellation charges do vary especially during peak/high seasons.
HOW TO MAKE PAYMENT
1. To company bank account using Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), Wire transfer, Remittance and online banking. We shall inform you on bank details after confirmation of itinerary. IBAN CODE: Not applicable. Kenya does not have an IBAN code (digits which include number of country, bank, branch and account number). This code is only applicable in Euro-using countries.
2. Use online payment. We shall inform you details after confirmation of itinerary.
For those clients who may arrive in Kenya with Euro or any other currency, current exchange rates to dollars or to Kenya Shilling (KSh) is done either at foreign exchange bureaus, bank or hotel. Kenya based banks commonly have only US dollar and KSh accounts.
